General Terms & Conditions 

The following general terms and conditions apply to any and all of WashAway Auto Detailing Warranty Program products: 

1. Warranty term begins from the date of registration of warranty via website or warranty card/booklet, with vehicle details; 

2. This agreement excludes vehicles used for commercial purposes at any time previous to, presently, or during the course of this warranty period; 

3. Initial application must be performed by a WashAway Auto Detailing applicator; 

4. Any application, re-application, repair work or other work carried out on the coated surface must be applied, reapplied, or repaired by a WashAway Auto Detailing applicator after claim approval from WashAway Auto Detailing; 

5. The WashAway Auto Detailing Branch Manager or Supervisor must be notified of any claim due to failure of product performance within 30 days of occurrence; 

6. All Vehicles must require a machine polish to be carried out by an approved applicator prior to application;

7. Vehicle must remain continuously registered within Malaysia for the duration of the warranty; 

8. The warranty does not extend coverage to damage caused by daily wear and tear, road debris impact, scratches, watermarks, accidents, collisions or intentional damage of any kind;

9. Warranty covers degradation of exterior body paintwork coating performance, specifically to protection against paintwork discoloration and hydrophobic effect;

10. If at any time the vehicle owner suspects any degradation in coating performance, the vehicle owner may send the car to an authorized WashAway Auto Detailing center for inspection;

11. Appointment for Inspection will be required to be informed at least 7 working days in advance to the respective WashAway Auto Detailing Branch Manager or Supervisor;

12. Upon completion of inspection, only the authorized applicator, Branch Manager or Supervisor may decide to perform a re-coating or otherwise, based on the clauses stated in Section 1.13, Section 2 and Section 3. All decisions by WashAway Auto Detailing are final;

13. In order for WashAway Auto Detailing to provide the best workmanship and quality possible; the Coating maintenance (CM) will be required to be performed every 6 months;

13.1 Coating maintenance (CM) is a package that may be purchased separately unless stated otherwise;

13.2 Coating maintenance (CM) service includes express detailing, clay treatment, tar removal, 1-layer compound polishing(if required) and application of Top Coat. The services may or may not include the above as advised by the authorized applicator, Branch Manager or Supervisor;

13.3 Any provided coating warranty will be void if the Coating Maintenance is not performed within the 6 month grace period. An example of 6 month grace period maintenance is given below:

July 2021 – Purchase a Coating Package with 3 years warranty with no inclusive CM

July 2021 – December 31, 2021 – Warranty is still valid

December 30, 2021 – Performed Coating Maintenance, warranty is valid now valid until June 30, 2022

14. Coating packages (9H Ceramic Coating or Graphene Coating) are given complimentary Coating Maintenance based on the packages unless stated otherwise;

16. Coating maintenance (CM) does not cover re-Coating nor 7-Steps Professional Polish as per point (8);

17. Should additional services be required by the Vehicle Owner or as advised by the authorized applicator, Branch Manager or Supervisor, there will be additional fee charged depending on the current WashAway Auto Detailing price list.

General Liability Limitations 

WashAway Auto Detailing, or its agents shall not accept liability for the following: 

1. Workmanship errors and faulty workmanship such, but not limited to, high spots, streaks, and low spots are not covered. 

2. Deterioration of factory-installed equipment or any other treated part of substandard specification, materials or workmanship by vehicle manufacturer, their dealership, third-party supplier or modifier, or professional detailers not authorized by WashAway Auto Detailing; 

3. Swirl marks, marring, scratches, scuffs, scrapes, chips to the painted surface, hard water spots. 

4. Pre-existing damage or deterioration; 

5. Any claim for matters which are covered by vehicle manufacturers’ warranty. 

6. Damage caused by manual or automatic wash brushes, contaminated and/or abrasive cloths and sponges, untreated areas due to accident damage and/or their subsequent repairs, and/or damage caused by impact with a foreign object (i.e., stone chips); 

7. Warranty is valid for factory clear-coated systems only and excludes any non-clear-coated or matte finishes. 

General Warranty Invalidations 

WashAway Auto Detailing warranty for any product will be considered invalid if any of the following general conditions occur: 

1. Neglect to maintain the vehicle according to the standards and techniques recommended by WashAway Auto Detailing. 

2. Damage caused by abrasive compounds and polishes and third-party products; 

3. Damage resulting from a collision or other vehicle accidents; 

4. Damage or structural failure occurs as the result of racing applications or willful abuse; 

5. Damage, either accidental or malicious, including but not limited to fire, flood, extreme weather conditions, secondary effects that may result from the foregoing, or any other force majeure; 

6. Failure to repair and re-treat surfaces subject to accident damage in accordance with the warranty; 

7. Damage caused by any alteration or modification to the vehicle surfaces; 

8. Damage caused by manufacturer’s defects; 

9. Damage to the vehicle prior to product application; 

10. Failure to adhere to any requirements listed under the terms and conditions of this warranty.
